Serving 6 times a year at Our Daily Bread, the second Monday of January, March, May, July, September, and November
Serving with Princeton United Methodist Church at the Interfaith Hospitality Network every 13 weeks to provide meals, transportation, and other hospitality to families in transition
Staffing a Benevolence Market booth
Working at an Athens site on the MLK Day of Service
Supporting monthly missions in the community and around the world
Parking for God – collecting donations at UGA home football games; all donations go to Our Daily Bread.
International Dinner and Spaghetti Supper – proceeds support local and/or global areas of greatest need
Learning and acting through SACRED – Social Action as Christians Responding and Encouraging Dialogue
SACRED-environment (working for stewardship of the environment)
SACRED-peace (working for just and lasting peace and against war)
SACRED-poverty (working for affordable housing, fair pay, alleviating hunger, affordable health services)
SACRED-women (working for women’s equity and welfare)
SACRED-gay rights (working for civil rights for gay and lesbian families)
SACRED-immigrants (working for human rights for immigrants)
SACRED-beloved community (working for improved relationships in Athens among African American, European American, and Latino communities)
SACRED-international (working for global justice in war-torn countries such as Darfur, and responding to natural disasters)
SACRED-educational equity (working for increased educational equity in Clarke County Public Schools, closing the achievement gap in graduation)
